Hilltop Elementary School students celebrated the close of another school year by bouncing and eating ice cream sundaes June 5.
The students were treated to a bounce around party and ice cream during the school’s annual PTO-sponsored Student Appreciation Day. The event was also a reward for all students for selling cookie dough for the PTO’s annual fall fundraiser. Students were split into small groups and had five stations to visit, including three bounce-a-rounds.
Each group visited a bounce slide, house with a basketball hoop, an obstacle course slide and a ball throwing barn. The bounce-a-rounds were set up in the playground area and when the whistle blew, the students moved on to their next station, including the sundae bar provided by Dairy Queen. The students created their own sundaes and chose from toppings, which included chocolate, strawberries, Oreos and rainbow sprinkles.
“It’s another fun-filled day,” said Hilltop Elementary School principal Cathy Mowry.
