Proving they can hold their own with Hollywood’s biggest and brightest, Canfield High School juniors and seniors strutted their stuff during the school’s annual PTO-sponsored Prom Promenade May 5 before heading to their Hollywood Night at the Oscars-themed prom at Mr. Anthony’s in Boardman.
The students brought the glitz and glamour that usually accompanies the Oscars as they were announced to a gymnasium filled with friends and family at the high school. With cameras flashing, each couple walked through an arch made of balloons as their names were announced to the crowd.
According to event organizers Traci DeCapua and Ellen Bennett, the event is held each year to allow families, friends, fellow students and members of the community to come out and catch a glimpse of the dresses and support the students.
