Ohio Naturopathic Wellness Center, led by naturopathic doctor Ted Suzelis, is teaming up with Valley businesses to sponsor the inaugural charity 5K Run/2 Mile Walk Aug. 11 to benefit Make A Wish. The event will take place at the Mill Creek Metroparks Bikeway on the Kirk Road trailhead at 6700 Kirk Road, Canfield.

This year’s event proceeds will go toward the Make A Wish foundation in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.

Registration for the event will begin at 7:30 a.m. with the first event starting at 8:30 a.m. The pre-registration fee for the 5K and 2 mile walk is $15 and includes a race T-shirt. Race day registration is $20 and a T-shirt is not guaranteed.

There will be a kid’s fun run for children ages 4-13. This run will be free, but you may pay $10 to receive a T-shirt.

Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female runner in the 5K event and there will be a Chinese auction.

For race information, sponsorship opportunities or to register online, visit www.OhioND.com/Race or call the Ohio Naturopathic Wellness Center at 330-729-1350.
