Canfield runners compete in GlenOak Invite

The Canfield varsity cross country teams began their season on Aug. 25 at the Canton Glen Oak Invitational, which attracts some of the top teams from northeast Ohio.

The boys finished 10th out of the 24 teams entered. The top 10 teams were Cleveland St. Ignatius A, Twinsburg, Solon, Cleveland St. Edward, Brunswick, Louisville, Akron St. Vincent St. Mary, GlenOak, St. Ignatius B and Canfield. A total of 190 runners competed.

Canfield was led by Chase Kern, who finished 24th. He was followed by teammates Rollin Bresson (26th), Tyler Kennedy (51st), Alec Kennedy (55th), Rajan Solanki (119th) and Andy Russo (141st).

The girls team finished seventh out of 20 teams. The top seven teams were Akron St. Vincent St. Mary, Solon, Brunswick, GlenOak, Louisville, Twinsburg and Canfield. A total of 150 runners competed. Pacing the Cards were Emma Lunne (fourth), Jamie Watt (27th), Rachel Rostek (40th), Victoria Pacheco (60th) and Anna Louongo (65th).
