Master Park Martial Arts International in Boardman will host the 2012 U.S. Martial Arts Championship of the Mahoning Valley this Saturday from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. The venue is located at 224 Boardman-Canfield Road (Route 224) across from Boardman Plaza.
Competition events include sparring, form performance, breaking demonstration, self-defense, judo and grappling for taekwondo, judo, karate, hapkiyudo, kungfu, jujitsu and all other martial arts.
Competitors will include ages 3 to adult and novice to black belt levels.
The World Hi-Ya Challenge local event will also occur at the event and is for all ages. The Hi-Ya Challenge does not require martial arts experience. Anyone can register for the Hi-Ya Challenge competition an all competitors will receive instruction of Hi-Ya Challenge breathing, Kihap, moves, rules and regulation. Competition will be novice to black belt levels, male and female. Martial arts experience is not required.
