Spotlight: Debbie L Shattuck

What one thing would you add to your town if money was not an issue? The city of Canfield is a beautiful place. However they are reluctant to use what they have. This town needs more celebrations for its community on the green in Canfield. They need beautiful banners for their lamp posts to advertise up coming events, new Christmas decorations, new clock tower, even a fountain on the opposite green that could be used as a skating rink in the winter. Let's give the community more so they will be willing to give more. Canfield needs to be proud of their community and we need younger people to run it!

Describe the last community event you went to. As the originator of Canfield's Lighting of the Green I would like to see it continue and grow in what it had to offer the community. This was an awesome event because it brought hundreds out to worship our Savior for His Birth. It advertised the upcoming First Night Canfield Family Event. It gave local merchants a chance to contribute and have there name put out there. It brought Christmas spirit to all who attended. There were carolers, hot cocoa, donuts, live nativity, live animals, the trees and gazabo were lit. There was a parade for Santa's arrival.
